UNFPA EXECUTIVE-DIRECTOR VISITS NASARAWA STATE

The Executive Director of the United Nations Fund for Population Activities [UNFPA], Ms. Thoraya Ahmed Obaid, led a high-powered delegation from the Fund Headquarters in New York on a visit to Nasarawa State in April 2001.The Executive Director was visiting Nigeria for the first time after her appointment to attend the African Summit on HIV/AIDS in Abuja, the nation's capital.
