ANPP to dethrone PDP Gov Sani

Zamfara State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Sani, has vowed that his party, the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) would wrest power from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) come 2007.
The governor declared this while fielding questions, from newsmen in his house in Gusau, the state capital, last week.
Alhaji Ahmed Sani, who explained that plans were in top gear to ensure that he emerged as the ANPP presidential candidate in 2007, called on his supporters to continue praying for him in order to succeed in the forthcoming screening of aspirants by the ANPP.
On the source of funding for his campaign, the governor hinted that he would liaising with corporate organisations and affluent individuals both within and outside the country to raise fund for his campaign.
He further explained that over N5 billion was expected to be realized as good-will donation for his campaign.
He then appealed to Nigerians to give him optimum support and cooperation in order to attain the desired goal.
