Dariye decries his continued suspension BY PDP

Tongnaan Bawa, Jos

Former Plateau State governor, Chief Joshua Dariye has condemned his continued suspension from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in spite of his effort to regain membership of the party.

Chief Dariye who bared his mind in a press statement in Jos, the state capital recently said the party was harsh in taking that decision.

According to him, the PDP lacked internal democracy which prompted him into supporting another political party in the 2007 elections and now he was willing to return to the PDP based on the spirit of reconciliation and improvement in the internal structures of the party.

Commenting on his administration in Plateau State, he said the "re-engineering agenda" of his government was designed for the good of the people of the state but that his political opponents had constituted a clog in the process of its implementation.

Chief Dariye said he would continue to contribute his quota to the development of the state whenever he was called upon by the government of the day.
