Ma’aji Dandaura, Lafia

The people of Udege/Loko constituency in Nasarawa State have paid a courtesy visit on the Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Musa Ahmed Mohammed, to express their gratitude for his support in ensuring that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate won the State House of Assembly by-election which was conducted recently in the area.

The leader of the delegation, Malam Omale Shakpa, said the people of Udege-Loko stood firm behind the elected PDP candidate despite threats and intimidation from opponents.

Malam Shakpa said they also visited the speaker to express their happiness with him on the way he has been handling the affairs of the state Assembly.

He observed that the Nasarawa State House of Assembly was a peaceful legislature, working in harmony with the executive arm of the government.

Mr. Shakpa prayed that God would continue to guide and protect the speaker and the entire members of the Assembly in the task of legislation.

According to him, PDP won 95% in the just concluded House of Assembly by-election, and called on the speaker to embrace the lawmaker who has just been elected to replace the former member of the Assembly, Mr. Patrick Ebiayi whose election was nullified by the state election petition tribunal.

Responding, the Speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Musa Ahmed Mohammed described the people of Udege-Loko and that of Nasarawa as one family.

Alhaji Mohammed thanked the delegate for finding time to visit him and show their support to the state House of Assembly.

He then urged them to turn out en mass during the swearing in ceremony of the newly elected member.
