Speaking to newsmen at the project site after an inspection tour of the project last week, Governor Adamu said he was happy with the quality and progress of the work.

The governor said he would not allow anything to hinder the progress of the power plant, which he described as the state’s most ambitious project, adding that with the level of progress going on at the site of the project, he was optimistic that the project would be completed by the end of February 2007, as scheduled.

The governor, who went into a closed door meeting with the officials of Yoo-Jin, the construction company handling the project and workers of the company, appealed for harmonious relationship between management and workers of the company.

Earlier, while briefing the governor, the project manager of the company, Mr. Ho Chung Moon, said work at the power plant was now concentrated at the construction of the main dam and power house.

Our reporter, who was at the site of the project last week reported that with 65% of work done at the power plant, the project is taking shape, giving it a wonderful and attractive look.

The governor was accompanied on the inspection tour of the project by members of the state executive council.
