Former Governatorial aspirant in Bauchi State on the platform of Alliance for Democracy party (AD), Dr. Ibrahim Waziri Ningi has declared to run for the presidential seat on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) come 2007 elcetions.

Dr. Waziri disclosed this during a press briefing at NUJ Secretariat, bauchi stressing that he has the requisite credentials and track records to lead Nigeria to greater heights if given the mandate.

Ibrahim Waziri lamented that Nigeria has since independence in 1960, been grappling with the problem of poverty, unemployment, religious crisis, ethnicity, neglect of educational sector, among others and pledged to tackle these problems if elected.

While expressing confidence that he would clinch the PDP presidential ticket and emerge as president come 2007, he however solicited for the support and cooperation of all Nigerians to ensure his victory at the poles so as to move Nigeria forward.
