I’ll consolidate present gain if... Sambo

One of the governorship aspirants in Kaduna on the flat form of PDP Arc. Namadi Sambo has said that his intention to contest is premise on his conviction that he would be able to serve the people better.
He said the present administration’s policies need continuity to have its effect on the citizens,hence his resolve to contest and consolidate the present gains if given the mandate.
Arc. Namadi, a one time commissioner of agriculture in the state made these remarks while speaking to newsmen shortly after a meeting with his supporters at command Guest House, Kaduna,recently.
He said, if given the mandate, his administration will continue from where the present administration stopped and build upon the structures on ground.
The aspirant said areas where his administration would focus include education, health, rural transformation, agricultural development, roads development, electricity and water supply among others.
He gave kudos to Governor Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi’s administration, saying "His Excellency has achieved a lot. He has left a mark that will be very difficult to erase, we just have to build upon his train of achievements".
The meeting was attended by the state commissioner for information, Hassan Adamu Shekarau, former Executive secretary PTDF, Barrister Hussaini Jallo, permanent commissioner Local Government service commission, Alimi Yau Abubakar, Executive secretary Muslim pilgrims welfare board, commissioner for youth and sport Alhaji Abubakar Musa Abubakar, senior special Assistant on youth, Alhaji Musa Aliyu khalid and many chairmen.
On the on- going voters registration exercise, he urge Nigerians to come out enmassefor the exercise to enable them perform their civic responcibility come 2007 general elections.
Arc. Also cautioned youths to shun acts capable of derailing the transition programme, adding that "as youths you need to organize yourselves in an orderly manner so as not to be used as political thugs".
