A new Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) has been appointed for the Nasarawa State police command. The appointee, Mr. Richard Akoji, replaced ASP Surajo Hamidu Mada, who was transferred to Lagos Port Authority.

Mr. Richard Akoji, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) holds a masters degree in Accounting. He is a member of Association of National Accountant of Nigeria (NAN) and also a member of Association of Nigeria Authors (ANA) with five books to his credit.

A statement signed by ASP Akoji himself stated that he was until his appointment the administration officer, Keffi division of the Nigeria Police Force.
