Senator Danboyi to electrifies more villages

The Senator representing Nasarawa North Senatorial District, Senator John Danboyi has said that the electricity projects, which he has embarked upon in Mada land was aimed at providing basic social amenities to the people of his area, as promised during his 2003 electioneering campaign.
Senator Danboyi made this known at Andaha town in Akwanga Local Government Area of Nasarawa State while speaking to journalists after the House of Assembly primaries penultimate Saturday.
The Senator who is still re-contesting his seat said he planned to provide more villages with electricity.
He said he intended to upgrade roads within his senatorial district, pointing out that his duty at the senate is to make law, as such, he would make sure that he contribute to bills that would touch on the lives of his people.
Senator Danboyi then called on the people of his senatorial district to be peace loving to ensure the progress of the area.
Speaking on his renewed ambition he said most members of his constituency want him to continue as senator "because of what they said I have been able to provide to them as dividends of democracy.
Lafia LG boss donates 5 transformers to PHNC

The chairman of Lafia Local Government, Alhaji Musa Isa Mustapha Agwai has donated five 250kv transformers to Power Holding Companies of Nigeria (PHCN) as part efforts to improve power supply in Lafia and its environs.
The local government boss said the incessant power outting in the areas paralysed business activities in the state capital hoping that with the new transformers Lafia will now enjoy steady supply of electricity.
The Emir of Lafia, Alhaji Isa Mustapha Agwai I who presented the transformers to the PHCN urge the company to use the transformers judiciously.
In another development, Alhaji Isa Mustapha Agwai I has commissioned boreholes constructed by the Lafia Local Government, to ease shortage of water in Lafia. The boreholes were located at Ungwan Shawu, Ungwan Kutare and Ungwan Mangu.
