Malam Rufa’i stated this in a dinner he hosted for journalists at his residence in Lafia, last week.

He appealed to youth to avoid running from one politician to another looking for money, adding that self –pride and determination to succeed on their part would help them become independent and self-reliant.

He promised to make the development of human resources topmost in his political agenda, adding that if the youth were left without succour their vulnerability to social vices would have an all-consuming effect on the entire society.

He appealed to individuals in government and private sector to do all within their capacity to provide services to the people and employment opportunities for the youths.

Malam Rufa’i, who is the Consultant/Chief Executive Officer of Nasarawa Publishing Company (NPC), publishers of Nigerian Newsday and Nasara, said he would use his political connections to lobby and influence Federal Government to site relevant projects in the state.

Commenting on the alleged crisis in the PDP, Malam Rufa’i said it was a positive development for the evolution of the party as the largest party in Africa, adding that the PDP would be better and more focused without some of those "questionable elements within its rank".
