‘Afo people wont be sidelined’

By David Dari

The campaign organisation of Shuaibu Salihu Sallau an aspirant contesting for the seat of Kokona West Constituency in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly come 2007 elections on the platform of Peoples Democracy Party (PDP) has debunked the rumour making the rounds that its candidate would sideline the Afo people if elected into office.

The chairman of the organisation Adamu Yahaya who made the refusal in a chat with our reporter in Keffi recently stressed that their aspirant has benefited immensely from the good gesture of the Afo over the yeas as such he would never neglect them in any way if elected.

He described the rumour as a mere campaign of calumny and blackmail being peddle by mischief makers. "This is a calculated attempt aimed at tarnishing the good image and intergrity of our aspirant".

Continuing, he said, "we strongly dissociate ourselves from the unguarded utterance capable of undermining and destroying our candidate’s good intention of rendering selfless service to humanity. We appeal to our Afo brothers in particular and our supporters not to take the rumour serious.

We remain focused, dedicated and above all committed to making life meaningful for our people".
