NSHA commences sitting

After a one week seminar at the Yankari Game Reserve in Bauchi State, members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly held their first sitting last week and directed the clerk of the House to notify the state governor and the chief Judge of the state that the house has been properly constituted.
The house in its first resolution since inauguration said it was now ready to receive any message from the executive.
The House in the sitting presided by the speaker, Alhaji Musa Ahmed Mohammed also resolved that its principal officers should meet and constitute various committees for effective operations of the assembly.
During the sitting, one of the 24 members, Hon Ahmed Dandaura Oyibo who was absent during the oath taking of the lawmakers, took his oath of office, which was administered by the Speaker, Alhaji Musa Ahmed Mohammed.
