An Islamic scholar, Shiek Mohammed Nasiru Bayero, has appealed to Muslims in the country to come out en-mass and get them selves counted during the national census exercise slated for next year.
Shiek Bayero who made the appeal at the end of the annual Ramadan Tafsir held at Darbejiya Mosque along Makuridi Road, Lafia, observed that since everything now in Nigeria was being based on number, it has become absolutely necessary for every Muslim to come out and participate in the exercise.
Shiek Bayero who appealed for unity among Muslim Umma, how- ever condemned the attitude of some Muslims who indulge in some practices that were contrary to the Holy Quar'an and the teachings of Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W).
While appealing to the people of Nasarawa State in general and those of Lafia emirate council in particular to support the Quar'anic recitation competition scheduled to hold in Lafia soon, Sheik Bayero also called on Muslim youth to be productive and desist from all acts capable of destroying their future.
