Junior Parliamentarians Meet in Nasarawa State

Nigerian Children, under the auspices of the Nigerian Junior Parliamentarians have met in Lafia, Nasarawa State. The meeting which was organized in the form of a senate meeting, saw the children holding a sitting of senate where they debated the issue of combating malaria through treated mosquito nets.
The programme which was transmitted live on national television was organized by the children to acquaint their colleagues on the workings of democracy. In a speech during the programme, Governor Adamu praised the children for the desire to entrench democracy in Nigeria, promising them that their resolutions at the senate session will be passed to the Presidency for necessary legislation.
The meeting was attended by children from all parts of the country and top government officials of the state.
