    His Excellency, Alhaji Aliyu Akwe Doma, OON (Garkuwan Doma), Executive Governor of Nasarawa State has approved the constitution of a 16-member Education Reform Committee to produce a road-map for the development of education in the State.

    College of Education, Akwanga

    The objectives of setting up the College include to offer courses leading to the Nigeria Certificate in Education through a three-year academic and professional course which, on successful completion, candidates qualify as teachers in primary schools and secondary and teachers training colleges.

    College of Agriculture, Lafia

    College of Agriculture, Lafia was established in 1977 primarily to train extension workers and middle level manpower for the development of agriculture.  In 1987, the Government of the State through Edict No. 13, granted the College autonomy which came into force in 1988.

    College of Arts, Science and Technology, Keffi

    The College was established in 1977 to provide courses of study, training in Arts, Languages, Natural, and social sciences for the purpose of entry requirements into Universities and other institutions of higher learning in Nigeria.
