    13 Point Agenda

    Policy Thrust of Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma Administration.

    Agenda 1: Security

    Protection of lives and property through the promotion of peaceful coexistence and intercommunal cooperation amongst the various communities of Nasarawa State.

    Agenda 2: Agriculture

    Restoration of Agriculture as the main economic activity of the people of the state in order to ensuresustainable food security, create employment and enhance economic empowerment of the people.

    Agenda 3: Education

    To provide qualitative and affordable educational opportunities to the youth at all levels - Primary to Tertiary - realising more than ever before, that modern economies are knowledge driven.

    Agenda 4: Health

    Improvement of healthcare deliver y ser vices with emphasis on preventive healthcare in tune with the requirement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

    Agenda 5: Tourism

    To develop tourism as a major economic activity that will benefit the people of Nasarawa State.

    Agenda 6: Urban development

    To embark, in our urban centers, the construction and expansion of road networks, improvement and enhancement of energy and water supply, sustained environmental protection.

    Agenda 7: Rural Development

    To uplift rural living standards through the upgrade of various infrastructures – all season roads,  establishment of agro-allied cottage industries, primary and secondary healthcare facilities, power and water supply.

    Agenda 8: Industrialization

    Establishment of industrial enterprises to diversify economic base and reduce the near total dependence on the public sector.

    Agenda 9: Economic Empowerment

    Accessing the people of Nasarawa state to economic opportunities through skills acquisitions, micro-financing,  cooperative ventures and business development activities.
