Abuja Carnival – Nasarawa Emerges Overall Best

The Nasarawa State contingent to the 2010 Abuja National Carnival has emerged overall best winning the competition for the third time running.
The State Deputy Governor, Chief Michael John Abdul who received the contingent at the Lafia City Gate expressed gratitude to them for representing the State properly and making everybody proud of their achievements. He said they could only have achieved the feat through commitment, dedication and patriotism.
Addressing them at the Ibrahim Abacha Youth Centre, the Deputy Governor said the feat was the envy of many States of the federation, stressing that it was achieved due to Michael Abdul said the artistes have demonstrated that they are true ambassadors of Nasarawa people. He therefore called on all citizens of the State to emulate the troupe.
Earlier, the State Commissioner of culture and tourism, Dauda Markus Esu express the gratitude of the troupe to the State Government for supporting them during the carnival.
