Fadama II Association in Awe gets N300m

About three hundred million naira has been disbursed to 19 Fadama III Associations in Awe Local Government area of Nasarawa State.
The disbursement of the funds was aimed at boosting socio-economic activities through agricultural development.
The executive chairman of the council, Alhaji Saidu Musa who was represented by his deputy, Yahaya Manus, disclosed the amount at the venue of the disbursement where he charged beneficiaries to make judicious use of the money.
He promised that his administration was mapping out strategies to empower youth of the area in different trades of their choice to encourage self-reliance.
On his part, the Desk Officer of Fadama III programme in the area said the reason for the disbursement of the fund to the beneficiaries was to encourage farmers , noting that the activities will be monitored by the officials of the programme to ensure judicious use of the funds.
In their separate remarks, the Emir of Awe, Alhaji Abubakar Umar II and chairman, Fadama III Community Association in Awe, Alhaji Maimako Idris thanked the state government and donor agencies for the gesture and assured that the desired goals of the programme would be achieved in the area.
