The national president of Mada Development Association (MDA) has emerged. He is Mr. Paul D. Auta, a retired Airforce Officer, who was declared winner after an election held at Youth Centre Auditorium in Akwanga town of Nasarawa State recently.

The electoral committee chairman, Senator J. K. Umaru, made the declaration and described the election as the beginning of great unity and success in Mada nation.

He also described the exhibition of sportsmanship and brotherliness among the contestants, as encouraging and advised politicians in Mada land to emulate their characters.

The chairman of the electoral committee called on the entire Mada people to give their maximum support to the newly elected executives, urging the new executives to give their best in the interest of Mada people.

The newly elected chairman, Mr. Paul D. Auta, in his remarks, promised to do his best to bring all Mada people together and carry everyone along as an entity.

Those elected as the new leaders of MDA included Mr. Friendly Chaba as secretary-general, Dr. Shedrach Jatau from Kaduna local branch as the public relations officer, Mr. Lugard Benjamin Slaku as financial secretary and Ishaya Dogonzo as treasurer.

Others include Mr. David B. Danboyi as auditor, Mr. Ladan Gowan as assistant secretary and Mr. Renkimi H. Micha as cultural officer.
