Local Government Chairman says the disabled are talented

Malam Osegba stated this when members of Nasarawa State Rehabilitation Board paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Keana.
According to him, the state government and the association had to come together to solve the problems facing the physically challenged persons in the state.
He assured of his administration's commitment towards extending quality education to the disabled persons and called on them to take their condition as ordained by God and to desist from the ugly act of street begging.
On his part, the leader of the team, the emir of Karshi, Alhaji Muhammadu Baro II,said that the reason for the courtesy visit was to solicit support to solve the problems facing the physically challenged.
The leader, who was represented by the Jakadan Lafia, Alhaji Labaran Maina, said that the physically challenged persons are supposed to be in focus at all levels.
He, therefore, called on the chairman of Keana Local Government Council to educate his wards on the need to show love without discrimination.
Responding, the chairman, who was represented by the secretary of the council, Alhaji Adamu, said the courtesy call was timely.
The team also visited the palace of the Osana of Keana, Senator Emmanuel Elayo and the Sarkin Awe, Alhaji Abubakar Umar where they enjoined them to focus more attention on the physically challenged persons' plight.
In their separate remarks, the Osana of Keana and Sarkin Awe called on the association to bring them close to government activities through adequate enlightenment.
