Feeder roads to be completed before 2010- Gbefwi

All feeder roads under construction, embarked upon by Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma led-administration in Nasarawa State are to be completed before December, 2010 .
This assurance was given by the General Manager, Public Works Maintenance Agency, Engr. Baba Yakubu Gbefwi.
According to him, six feeder roads under the rural development programme of Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma were being executed across the three senatorial zones of the state.
Engr. Gbefwi expressed optimism on the completion of the roads as, according to him, “all the roads under construction have reached satisfactory stages, and are now on the construction of water ways and culverts to round up completion.”
He went further, to say that the Public Works Maintenance Agency (PMWA), was established with the sole objective of undertaking public maintenance works and construction of feeder roads across the state and assured the government and the entire people of Nasarawa state that the agency would continue to work tirelessly to justify its establishment.
The manager also stated that the agency was also saddled with the responsibility of maintaining public buildings across the state. He used the forum to call on the users of public facilities, such as public houses, schools, roads etc to handle such facilities with care.
He also called on the government to consider its request and provide more heavy equipment as demanded by the agency, to enable the agency complete this phase of project, as promised.
Engr. Gbefwi then called on the people of the state to support the government of the day under the leadership of Aliyu Akwe Doma to enable him continue the good works he has started.
