Three newly appointed Permanent Secretaries have been sworn-in in Nasarawa State. Performing the ceremony in Lafia, Governor Doma urged the new permanent secretaries to contribute their quota to service delivery in the public service. He continued “You must apply your creativity and ingenuity in addressing the challenges of the service. I also expect that you will provide good advice and guidance to the political heads of your respective Ministries and Agencies, at all times”.

Justifying the appointments, Governor Doma said it was to entrench professionalism and enhance productivity in the public service of the State. He therefore said the appointments were made in consideration of wealth of experience, professionalism, proven integrity and loyalty to service.

At the same ceremony, Governor Doma inaugurated chairmen and boards of four government agencies. The are the Governing Boards of Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital; State Hospitals Management Board; State Scholarship Board; State Agency for Adult and Non-formal Education.

Charging the Boards to be conscientious in their duties, he reminded them that their appointment underscores the important priority Government attaches to the health and educational sectors of the State.  It is for this reason that Government has continued to deploy resources to the development of infrastructure, equipment and personnel in these areas.
