Nasarawa House of Assembly holds special session for late member

Nasarawa State House of Assembly last week Monday held a special session in honour of late Honourable ahmed Sarduana Eyibo, member representing Doma South constituency, who died in a ghastly motor accident along Garaku – Keffi road.
In the special session, presided over by the Speaker, Alhaji Musa Ahmed Mohammed, members gave account of the good deeds carried out by the late Honourable Eybo when he was alive.
The Speaker described late Eyibo as a generous person and someone who always care for the plight of those in need.
According to the Speaker, late Eyibo was the first elected member in the state House of Assembly to declare for his present position of Speaker of the state House of Assembly.
Alhaji Mohammed said that late lawmaker was a peacemaker and an honest person who lived a life worthy of emulation, praying that God should grant him eternal rest.
Also commending on the life of late Eyibo, Alhaji Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo, member representing Doma North constituency, described him as a gem and a political icon.
He said that the late lawmaker has contributed positively to the development of his constituency, adding that he has also made meaningful contributions to bill and motions debated upon in the assembly and prayed God to grant late Eyibo eternal rest.
In his own submission, the deputy speaker, Honourable Elisha Agwadu, described the late lawmaker as a good person and a lover of all.
He said that when they were in Zambia with the late Honourable Eyibo on an official engagement, he exhibited good character, which was worthy of emulation.
The deputy speaker also described him as a good joker, adding that the state assembly would miss him for his jokes.
The majority leader, Honourable Peter Mbucho, said that the late lawmaker has left a vacuum which would be very difficult to fill.
According to Honourable Mbucho, late Eyibo was a very good friend who was of unquestionable character.
Also in her comment, the minority leader, Honourable Mary Enwongulu, said that the late Eyibo was loved by people because of his good character and expressed optimism that he is resting with God in heaven because of his good life on earth.
She charged the members to always pray for the soul of late Eyibo.
All members of the state assembly spoke good of the lawmaker and prayed God to grant him eternal rest.
Some members expressed the need for the members to assist the family of the deceased financially to enable them sustain themselves.
