Chairman of Eggon Elders Forum, Lafia Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, Alhaji Yusuf Pada Dogo, has re-iterated the Eggon support for Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma in the 2011 election.

Alhaji Dogo stated this in Lafia shortly after the meet-the-people-tour of the southern zone by the governor.

The elder said that the Eggons would do all things possible to ensure that Governor Doma was re-elected to continue with the good work he started in 2011.

According to him, the Eggons have been meeting in different ways to support Governor Doma, adding that this time the Eggons would speak with one voice.

Alhaji Dogo explained that the governor has given the position of federal permanent secretary and ministerial positions to Eggon people among other positions.

While commending the governor’s efforts on road construction, health education and agriculture, Alhaji Dogo pointed out that so much has bees done across the and therefore the Eggons have no reason to oppose the present government.

He appealed to the Eggons to co-exist peacefully with other tribes in order to pave the way for more development in the state.

The Eggon elder thanked the chairman of traditional council in the state, Dr. Isa Mustapha Agwai I, for appointing him as one of the ward heads in Lafia.
