Critics of Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma have been advised to always be objective in their criticisms so as to bring development to the state.

A former state auditor-general, Alhaji Yakubu Akwe, who said this in Doma recently, contended that those fond of critising the government were doing so for merely selfish reasons.

Alhaji Akwe appealed to the people of the state to be patient with the present government, adding that Governor Doma in three years has done much for the state.

He pointed out that before now, Lafia was only but a glorified local government headquarters, but presently, we have lot of new developments in forms of street lights while most of the roads have been tarred for easy accessibility.

He said, “If you cannot praise the governor for the good works so far done, do not make a blind judgment, because he has done what his predecessor could not achieve in eight years”.

He said that the present governor actually followed his 13-point agenda for the benefit of the state.

According to him, the governor has done well in areas of security, education, agriculture, urban development, rural renewal programmes and health.

Alhaji Akwe maintained that during the meet-the-people- tour of the west and north senatorial districts of the state, people commended the governor for what he has done.
