Civil and public servants of Nasarawa State have been advised to embrace the opportunities provided by the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in order to be part of the progress and development of the global village.

Nasarawa State Commissioner for science and technology, Mr. Atama Alkali Harri, gave the advice at the commencement of the distribution of 7,000 units of laptop computers to members of the Nasarawa State workforce.

A private establishment, Solafrips International under the aegis of the Computerise Nigeria Project (CNP), in collaboration with the Nasarawa State ministry of science and technology distributed the 7,000 laptop computers to Gadabuke Development Area, recently.

Honourable Benjamin Musa Beledu, the administrator of Gadabuke Development Area received the laptops on behalf of the area, expressing his profound appreciation to Salofrips International for the rare opportunity offered to the workers of Nasarawa State.

Honourable Beledu called on the workers to ensure the effective use of the laptops to enhance their job efficiency and development of the state.

The coordinator of the project, Mr. G. C. Ebere, stated that his organization, The Solafrips International would provide training to the beneficiaries in the areas of computer application and how to use their laptops effectively in their respective places of work to boost productivity.
