Good governance: Senatorial aspirant lauds Gov Doma

The Nasarawa South district senatorial aspirant, Hon. Adamu Mu’azu has commended the Nasarawa State Government under Alhaji Aliyu Akwe Doma for the huge strides it has attained in its efforts to improve the infrastructure and lives of citizens in the state.
Speaking at the end of a one-day tour/visit to the royal fathers in the southern zone, Hon. Mu’azu said governor Doma’s government was intent on leaving its mark in the sand of time, explaining that the 13-point agenda was crafted to enable future generations enjoy the dividends of democracy provided by the administration.
He praised the programmes put forward by the administration including the Badakoshi programme through which government provided tractors, fertilizer and cash loans to farmers, saying this government has gone a long way in boosting agricultural activities in the state
Hon. Mu’azu also commended the government for executing projects, such as the courts along Shendam road, the completed work on the ministries, the multi-million naira reconstruction of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly complex, which he said when completed, would be among the best in the country.
He said the government was able to create rural roads that have linked farmers to towns and made navigating the state even easier for all in addition to provision of water to Lafia, the state capital and other major towns, among other things.
He called on the people to remain focus and be supportive, promising that if elected, he would bring life changing programmes and opportunities.
He said he would ensure that the Federal Government presence was felt in terms of more federal projects as well as road repairs on the Awe-Lafia road.
Hon. Mu’azu also said he would make the provision of education a major priority by providing scholarships to the less privileged to ensure that more persons from the zone have access to higher education.
He pledged to set up a skill acquisition center within the zone that would focus on youth and women empowerment with special attention on widows and orphans.
He further assured that it given the mandate, he would ensure that laws would be made to help, protect and give everyone the chance to achieve their full potential.
The tour took the aspirant to the palaces of the Sangari of Shabu, Emir of Lafia, Andoma of Doma, Osana of Keana, Osoho of Olosho and Osukom of Obi, where Hon. Mu’azu paid homage and solicited support of the royal fathers and their blessing.
