Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma of Nasarawa State has set up a five-man task force committee to implement government’s blueprint on the general renovations, upgrading of facilities and infrastructures at the Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital in Lafia, the state capital.
To this end, the state government has already released the sum of one hundred million naira (N100m) to enable the committee to carry out its assignment.
The committee was put in place with a view to improving the healthcare service delivery in the state, in line with government decision to provide affordable healthcare services to all and sundry.
Members of the task force included His Royal Highness, Dr. Kabiru Musa Ibrahim who is also the Special Adviser to the governor on health as chairman, Engr. Baba Yakubu Gbefwi, Dr. Ahmed Yakubu Ashuku, Engr. Ahmadu Jabiru Ahmadu as members and Mr Polycarp Alumbugu as secretary.
Inaugurating the committee in Lafia, the state capital, last week, Governor Doma, represented by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mr. Timothy Anjide expressed his hope that the committee would carry out its assignment diligently in the overall interest of the people of the state.
Responding, the chairman of the committee, His Royal Highness, the Emir of Azara, Dr. Kabiru Musa Ibrahim thanked Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma for giving them the opportunities to serve in the committee.
Dr. Ibrahim promised that the fund released to them would be used judiciously.
