Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma has restated his commitment to the revamping and upgrade of health facilities in Nasarawa State. The Governor was speaking after receiving the report of the committee on health care delivery assessment in the State.Lamenting the poor state of infrastructural facilities in the state, the Governor stated that even though the task before the Administration seemed intimidating, he was prepared, with the help of God and adequate resources, to address the situation. He therefore promised to rehabilitate health care facilities across the state while all categories of health workers across the state will enjoy training and retraining opportunities.
The Governor thanked the committee for a job well done and promised that their recommendations will be critically studied by the Administration in order to ensure a comprehensive implementation of their recommendations.
Earlier while submitting the report, the Chairman of the Committee, His Royal Highness, Sarkin Azara, Alhaji Muhammed Kabir Musa gave a vivid and stunning presentation on the state of health facilities in the state. He therefore advised that government should take urgent steps to address the situation.
It would be recalled that the 5-member committee was inaugurated in February this year to appraise the status of health care delivery in the State.
