Family Health International Fights Malaria in Nasarawa State

A Non-Governmental Organization, Family Health International is partnering with the State Government to fight malaria.
This partnership, according to Dr. Tim Adeola Efuntoye, Senior Medical advisor Family Health International, is to ensure a malaria free society.
He made this known during a courtesy visit to the Management of Nasarawa Broadcasting Service in Lafia.
Stating the purpose of their visit Dr Tim Adeola Efuntoye said, they were at the station based on the role the media could play in malaria eradication through information dissemination.
Dr Adeola Efuntoye pointed that the organization received a grant from Glofund to execute the malaria project in Nigeria and that Nasarawa State is one of the beneficiaries of the project.
The advisor revealed that a total of eighty-six thousand mosquito nets will be distributed free in Nasarawa State as part of the project.
Doctor Adeola then commented the State Government for partnering with Family Health International in providing healthcare services to people.
Responding General Manager of Nasarawa Broadcasting Service, Alhaji Musa Abdullahi applauded the organization for improving the health of the people especially in the area of maternal and child healthcare.
Alhaji Musa Abdullahi however assured the team of support.
The General Manager reaffirmed that information dissemination is one of the goals of the station and as such will not fail its service to the people.
Alhaji Musa Abdullahi described the effort as a welcome development and commended the foresight of the State Government in saving lives.
