Director General of the Industrial Training Fund, (ITF) has expressed readiness to partner the Nasarawa State Government on manpower development.
Professor Longmas Wakmut gave the assurance during a courtesy call on Governor Akwe Doma of Nasarawa State in Government House Lafia.
The ITF Director General noted with satisfaction the state government’s skills acquisition programme, saying he was impressed with what he saw at the training centres.
He further explained that one of the greatest challenges of governance is human capital development and commended Governor Doma for the initiative, saying such will go a long way in reducing poverty and unemployment in the state.
Professor Wakmut assured that the Industrial Training Fund ITF would support the state government in the areas of professional training and counseling.
Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma expressed satisfaction with the visit, assuring that his doors are always opened to any organization or individuals who wish to partner with the government in the task of governance.
Governor Doma however solicited ITF’s assistance and guidance on how best to run the affairs of the skills acquisition programme for optimum productivity.
The governor equally used the opportunity to re-affirm his administration’s commitment to turn around the economic fortune of the state for better.
