
Nasarawa State Governor, Alhaji (Dr.) Aliyu Akwe Doma, OON (Madauchin Doma) has reassured of his administration’s commitment to equity, justice and fair play.
Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma also said his government as always is prepared to carry everyone along irrespective of religious, tribal or political affiliation.
Governor Doma was speaking when he received a delegation of the Christian community in Nasarawa State which was at the Government House, Lafia to pay the annual Christmas/New Year homage.

Governor Doma lauded the overwhelming support and partnership accorded his administration by the Christian community in the State. He said such support and understanding is the tonic he needed to spur him to do more for the State. He then called on Christians in the State to maintain peaceful at all times.
On his Administration’s criteria for employment and appointments, the Governor restated his resolve to work with only the best hands so as to develop the State as quickly as possible.
Speaking earlier, the leader of the delegation and Christian Association of Nigeria Chairman in Nasarawa State, Most Reverend Matthew Ishaya Audu, commended Governor Doma on his leadership qualities and the numerous achievements recorded by his Administration. He expressed particular joy with the Administration’s Badakoshi Agricultural Scheme.

The CAN Chairman also praised Governor Doma’s ability to carry both Christians and Muslims in the State along which had translated to the peace being enjoyed in the State.
Reverend Audu pledged complete support of Christians in the State to Governor Doma’s 13-Point Agenda, adding that they believe the 2010 budget will go a long way in uplifting the standard of life in Nasarawa State.
The Christian delegation led by Most Rev. Matthew Ishaya Audu included the leadership of CAN, Christian clergy, traditional rulers, as well as prominent sons and daughters of Nasarawa State.
The occasion also featured presentation of the traditional kolanuts and special prayers for President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, Governor Doma, his cabinet, traditional rulers and the people of Nasarawa State.
