Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma has charged the new Management Committees of the 16 Development Areas in Nasarawa State to initiate and coordinate all activities of their areas for total grassroots development.

The Governor made the call while inaugurating newly appointed members of Development Area Committees in Lafia. According to the Governor, they should always liaise with the Local Government and Traditional Councils to ensure that only projects and programmes that have direct and sustainable benefit to their communities are embarked upon.

Urging them to familiarise themselves with the policy thrust of the Administration as enunciated in the 13-point Agenda, Governor Doma urged them to work closely and collaborate with the State and Local Government Agencies towards the realisation of the lofty ideals of the Agenda.

The Management Committees which are made up of a Chairman and four other members were recently appointed by the Governor Pursuant to Section 73 of the Nasarawa State Local Government Law 2009.
