Activities marking Democracy Day and the Second Anniversary Celebration of the Administration of Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma, OON (Madaucin Doma) have been released by the Central Planning Committee.
The programme indicates that activities covering 10 days have been lined up to include inspection of on-going road projects, flag -off of construction of new roads, commissioning and inspection of Ministerial and other office buildings, inspection of water projects, prayers in churches and mosques and the grand finale for the Lafia Township Stadium.
According to the programme of events, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Alhaji Aliyu Akwe Doma will commence an inspection tour on Wednesday May 20, 2009 to Toto-Umaisha Road, the Vocational Relevant Technology Center, Nasarawa as well as flag-off the Nasarawa Town Water Supply Project.
On Thursday May 21, 2009, the Governor will inspect progress of work on the Gitata – Panda Road and end the second day’s activities with the inspection of Mararraban Agwada - Udege Road .
Governor Akwe Doma will undertake the commissioning and inspection of Ministerial Buildings in Lafia on Friday May 22, 2009. He will commission the Secretariat Complex along Akwanga Road, the Bureau for Economic Empowerment, Jos Road; the High Courts; the School of Nursing and Midwifery and inspect work at the Nasarawa House of Assembly Complex all along Shendam Road. Prayers will be held in Mosques throughout the state on that day by 2.00 pm.
On Sunday May 24, 2009 there will be an inter-denominational prayers in all churches across the state.
Day 6 being Monday May 25, 2009 will have His Excellency, the Governor flagging-off the Gudi Junction – Agwan Zaria Road, as well as inspect the Vocational and Relevant Technology Center, Wamba; the Akwanga Water Supply Expansion Project; the Nassarawa Eggon Water Supply Project and the Nasarawa Eggon -Mada Station Road.
On Tuesday May 26, 2009, Governor Akwe Doma will inspect the Doma – Agbashi Road; Doma Water Supply Project; the Vocational and Relevant Technology Centre, Doma and the 500 Unit Housing Estate in Lafia.
His Excellency Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma will on Wednesday May 27,2009 flag off the Adudu – Azara-Wuse Road construction and inspect on-going construction works on the Assakio – Obi – Agwatashi – Agaza – Keana – Giza – Kadarko – Agyaragu – Doma Road with the Assakio – Obi section being the focus; the Awe Salt Project; the Keana Water Project and the Keana Salt Project.
The activities will climax on Democracy Day May 29, 2009 with an address by His Excellency the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State Alh. (Dr.) Aliyu Akwe Doma OON, Madauchin Doma, as well as parade by para military groups, civil society organizations and cultural groups at the Lafia Township Stadium.

I strong recommend what Governor Aliyu akwe Doma is done in Nasarawa state. The projects of Road' water' and lights' that was doing crosses the community the in state and even the recently launching of Yams markets in London.However His Execellency Governor you shall not forget the disability people in state. specials Deaf you shall provide us job and even even send us aboard for our further studies or within country.
