As parts of his efforts towards addressing the menace of poverty in his constituency, the member representing Karu, Keffi, Kokona Federal Constituency of Nasarawa State in the House of Representatives, Hon Ahmed Wadada, is working along with the small and medium scale development of Nigeria to secure loans for cooperative societies in his constituency.
Speaking during the official flag off of the Angwan Toni Nike road project, which he embarked upon as part of his constituency project, Hon Wadada assured his determinations to ensure the success of the programme.
He explained that two registered cooperative societies from the three local government areas that made up his constituency would be engaged in the exercise.
The lawmaker further explained that after the training exercise, he would guaranty them to secure loans facility from the Federal Ministry of Commerce and Industries to boost their activities.
He expressed the optimism that by so doing the six cooperative societies would have their activities adequately boosted to enable them became active job creators either directly or indirectly.
He therefore advised the cooperative societies to avail themselves of the opportunities and work together with him for their general socio-economic upliftment.
Commenting on youths, the lawmaker advised them to trade cautiously by not submitting themselves to self-seeking politicians who may want to use them for any form of destructive tendencies.
He therefore advised them to "shine their eyes" and engage in education and other vocational skills in order to earn a good living and dignified themselves, especially as they are the leaders of tomorrow.
The occasion witnessed the delivery of solidarity speeches by supporters of Hon Wadada and Chieftains of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in his constituency.
