Chairman of Keana Local Government Council, Nasarawa State, Malam Haruna Iliya, has commended the effort of the Fadama III project team in the state.

He made the commendation through his deputy, Sanusi Abdul while inaugurating the local government chapter of the Fadama III project.

Malam Iliya said the project which is aimed at enhancing partnership participation towards poverty eradication was a right step and direction.

He, however, called on various associations involved in the project to make judicious use of the funds received to improve their ways of living.

While pledging the council support, he also thanked the state coordinator of the project for his personal commitment towards the success of the project.

In his remarks, the state coordinator of the Fadama III project, Alhaji Abdullahi Alkali, said the project was designed to achieve food security through public private partnership participation.

In his vote of thanks, the representative of the NGO, Musa Dan’azumi Omaku, who is also a member of the committee commended the foresight of the Fadama III project, assuring that the committee will work hard to ensure the project achieve its objective.

The committee included the executive chairman of the council as chairman, his royal highness, the Osana of Keana, Senator Emmanuel Elayo as deputy chairman, two FCA chairmen as members, Hajiya Ototonu Shekarou as member, director of agriculture as member, Fadama III desk officer as member, Gambo Omaku Giza as member and Musa Dan’azumi Omaku (NGO Representative) as member.
