PDP chieftain scores Gov Sambo high

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Alhaji Ahmed Tahir, has described the general performance of Governor Mohammed Namadi Sambo of Kaduna State in the last 22 months as impressive.
Addressing a press conference in Kaduna, Alhaji Tahir said "the perfom1ance of Governor Namadi is a pride to PDP and the entire people of Kaduna State."
He named some of the developmental programmes of Governor Namadi such as introduction of free and compulsory primary education, provision of free medical care services to children below the age of five and pregnant women, enhancing security network through the introduction of Operation Yaki and provision of fertilizer and other farming inputs to the farmers.
Other developmental programme of the governor, according to him, were rehabilitation of schools, hospitals, distribution of over 300 commercial vehicles to Okada riders and members of the National Union of Road Transport workers (NURTW) under the state Micro Credit Scheme Training of Youth and Women hand work of their choice under the State Poverty Alleviation Scheme, sports development and the payment of scholarship to the indigene of the stat~ as well as generation of hydro-power through dams aimed at reviving Industries in the state among others.
Alhaji Tahir who is the Managing Director of Dumas Petroleum, Kaduna explained that the performance of Governor Namadi led to his endorsement by various groups and association and the good people of the state for a second tem1 in office come 2011.
While commenting on the recent concluded National Sports Festival which was tagged "KADA 2009", the frontline politician also hailed Governor Sambo over the success of the festival.
According to him, Governor Namadi has made the entire people of the state proud through the provision of first class sporting equipments at Murtala Mohammed Square as well as rehabilitation of the township stadium and Ahrriadu Bello Stadium among others.
He explained that the commitment of Governor Namadi toward the development of sports led to the successful hosting of KADA 2009.
While answering another question, Alhaji Ahmed Commended the victory of Governor Namadi Sambo at the Court of Appeal, saying that the victory was vindication of the peoples’ mandate.
According to him, Kaduna State is the Home of PDP due to the as according to him during the 2007 general elections "the entire people of Kaduna State came out en-mass to vote for PDP which led to the total victory of the party in the state and the country as a whole."
He called on the opposition to join hands with Governor Namadi Sambo for the development of the state.
Alhaji Ahmed who was a lawmaker in the second Republic also called on the people of Kaduna State, especially the lawmakers to support and co-operate with Governor Namadi to enable him implement his 11-point agenda with a view to achieving lasting peace and progress.
