The wife of the Governor of Nasarawa State, Hajiya Raliyatu Aliyu Akwe Doma has been crowned as the Waziriyar Nasarawa by the Nasarawa Emirate Council.

The coronation took place on Saturday during the events marking the 5th anniversary of the acsension to the throne by the Emir of Nasarawa, Alhaji Ahmed Hassan II.

In a ceremony that saw political heavy weights from all sides of the divide throng into Nasarawa, the Waziriyar was crowned with pomp and pageantry.

The traditional title which came as a reward from Her Excellency's work among women in Nasarawa State was a crowning glory to the various accolades being given to the wife of the Governor.

During the occasion, the Emir showered praises on the wife of the Governor and urged her to take her new position in the Nasarawa Emirate Council as a challenge to serve the nation and nation further.

In her response, the Waziriyar thanked the people of Nasarawa State for the opportunity given her and her family to serve the State.
