Nasarawa State Indigene Wins N50million Naira Diamond Bank Promotion

An indigene of Nasarawa State, Mr. James Umaru Umbugadu, has emerged winner of the Diamond Bank SavingsXtra promotion organised by the bank for its customers.
Speaking during the cheque presentation ceremony at the Ibrahim Abacha Youth Centre, Lafia, the Governor of the State, Alhaji Aliyu Akwe Doma, OON (Madauchin Doma) noted that the emergence of Mr. Umbugadu is sequel to his responding to the current drive for savings culture amongst Nigerians as being promoted by Diamond Bank Plc.
Governor Doma who was represented by Deputy Governor John Mike Abdul, congratulated Mr. Umbugadu for emerging the first winner in the competition, urged him to view his emergence as the winner as an act of God which is meant to provide him a stepping stone for economic wellbeing. The Governor advised him to invest the proceeds wisely in ventures that will make him become an employer of labour.
The Governor commended Diamond Bank Plc for initiating the promo which will encourage savings culture and outreach to the unbanked populace in the State. He then charged them to sustain and diversify the laudable scheme.
Speaking earlier, the Group Managing Director, Diamond Bank Plc, Mr. Emeka Onwuka said the award ceremony reaffirms the banks commitment to continuously seek to reward its loyal customers. He said since the competition was introduced last year, several of the bank’s customers had been winning various prizes, but this one was the highest won by any customer thus far.
Mr. Onwuka went further to state that Diamond bank remained committed to providing value added services to its customers and supporting them to achieve their goals. He noted that the promo had achieved its objectives by inculcating in the populace, the savings culture.
In appreciating God for emerging winner, Mr. Umbugadu said he will forever remain grateful to Diamond bank for making him a multi-millionaire. He said as an orphan, he had struggled through life and believed that the prize will enable him establish a life long business.
