Nasarawa Government Donates Five Million Naira To Fire Victims

The Nasarawa State Government has donated the sum of five million naira to victims of the recent market fire disaster that occurred in Akwanga.
Speaking during an assessment visit to Akwanga, Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma described the incident as a colossal loss to the people of the State. He urged the victims to see the disaster as an act of God and promised that Government will always come to the aid of victims of such disasters.
At the visit, Governor Doma announced Government’s intention to immediately commence the construction of a new modern market for Akwanga.
Earlier, the Chairman of Akwanga Local Government Area, Arch. Stanley Buba said the fire was a great economic set back for the people of Akwanga. He promised that Government will quickly reconstruct the market to enable business activities to commence while waiting for the new market to be constructed.
The Governor was accompanied to Akwanga by all members of the State Executive Council.
