A new member of the State Executive Council has been sworn-in by Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma. Also sworn-in at the same ceremony were four members of the State Civil Service Commission.

Performing the ceremony in Lafia today, the Governor stated that the appointments were necessitated by the need for a purposeful and competent leadership in all agencies of Government to serve as a catalyst for the achievement of the Administration’s goals.

Charging the appointees, Governor Doma told them to note that the appointments were not meant for them to pursue self interest. According to the Governor, “your conduct as public officers must be guided by the principles of diligence, honesty, integrity and fairness”.

Governor Aliyu used to occasion to call on all public officers to always demonstrate commitment, loyalty, integrity and support in the discharge of their responsibilities.

Responding on behalf of the appointees, the New Commissioner, Mohammed Sameel from Akwanga Local Government, pledged their total and absolute loyalty to Governor Akwe Doma in the discharge of their duties and urged the people to support the Administration in its avowed desire to improve the socio-economic status of the people.
