Two police men were killed last week, in Lafia the Nasarawa state capital following a ghastly motor accident which occurred along Jos Road. Also a Lafia based business man Mr. Danjuma Ishayaku also had his left leg severely damaged and may require amputation.

According to an eye witness the accident occurred at about 11pm when a Mercedes-230E dark blue with registration number AW 722 RBC attempted to over take another vehicle at the popular Black & white Junction, along Jos road.

The police men that lost their lives were said to be walking along the road side on that fateful day when the car ran over them.

The driver of the vehicle was seriously injured in the head and was still in coma at Dr Araf Specialist Hospital (DASH) Lafia receiving treatment at the time of filling this report.

Danjuma Ishaku the businessman was also at DASH receiving treatment. He was on his way to Tudun-Gwandari on a motorcycle when the vehicle knocked him down.

Ishaku who spoke to our reporter on his hospital bad said he thanked the Almighty God and the good Samaritans who immediately came to his rescue when the accident occurred.
