The Chairman of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission, Archbishop Nicholas Okoh, has paid a visit to Governor Aliyu Akwe-Doma. During the visit, he announced that the Commission has fixed October 28 as the deadline for the payment of fares for this year’s pilgrimage to Israel.

Governor Akwe Doma while address the delegation promised the commission of sponsorship more Christians to this year’s pilgrimage.

"The governor said that funds for the pilgrimage will be released within the next two weeks for the payment of fares for its pilgrims

The Chairman of the Commission, Okoh said that pilgrimage was an exercise for spiritual upliftment and should not be regarded as "political compliment".
