Nasarawa State Commissioner of Finance, Alhaji Ahmed Adamu Agyina, has commended the management of Nasarawa Publishing Company for taking revolutionary steps towards repositioning the company.

Addressing members of the management team led by the acting chief executive officer, Malam Abubakar M.B. Ibrahim when they paid him a courtesy visit in his office, the commissioner applauded the company for its coverage of the activities at the grassroots level.

He therefore assured of his ministry’s resolve to continue to patronize and improve on its relationship with the company so as to enable it meet its objective of serving as a medium of communication for both government and the governed.

According to Alhaji Agyina, the laudable steps taken by the governor Alhaji Aliyu Akwe Doma administration towards improving the lot of the people could only succeed through support and cooperation from all stakeholders.

Earlier, Chief Executive of NPC, Malam Abubakar M.B Ibrahim described the continued patronage and support given to the NPC by the finance ministry as exceptional, challenging other ministries and government agencies to emulate the existing cordial and beneficial relationship existing between the two bodies.

He said that measures were already being taken by the state government to properly reposition the company so as to enable it carry out its functions effectively and efficiently.

The CEO maintained that the twin publications of Nigerian Newsday and Nasara newspapers would continue to hit the newsstands with incisive and factual stories of events from the country and beyond.

He was accompanied on the visit by the Managing Editor of the company, Mr. Mike Ejembi and Head of Advertisement Zakari Mohammed.
