NDA boss calls for support for govt

People of Nasarawa State have been called upon to support Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma, developmental programmes for the state.
The Director of National Orientation Agency in Nasarawa State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello stated this while speaking to newsmen at Lafia, the state capital recently. He also called on the wealthy individuals in the state to contribute positively for the development of the state.
Alhaji Bello who resumed work recently as the new director of the agency said democracy would be more sustainable, if the grassroots were properly taken care of adding that the success of democracy at the local government was the foundation for a sustained civilian rule.
He recalled that, the aim of the agency was to make people understand the policies and programmes of government through enlightenment.
Alhaji Bello who was one time commissioner of information and culture in Nasarawa State said that, the agency has its staff in all the local government areas in the state who would feed the agency with relevant information on how to promote better understanding between the government and the governed.
He promised that the agency would liaise with the state government in order to have mutual understanding. He said the agency was now ready to welcome any information from any body aimed at promoting development in the state.
