Nasarawa State Government has restated its determination to provide qualitative education to the youths, liaison officer of Nasarawa State Liaison Office in Kaduna, Hajiya Aisha Ubangari, has said.

Hajiya Aisha, made the revelation while speaking at the Nasarawa State Students Association (NASSA), Kaduna Polytechnic chapter annual day and launching of exercise books, held at the main campus, Tudun Wada – Kaduna.

She said: "No nation can achieve meaningful progress without equipping its youth with relevant education. As a result of that, the state government, under the able leadership of Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma, is fully committed to provide qualitative education to our youths".

The liaison officer reiterated the need for discipline among the students, saying that "as leaders of tomorrow, you should avoid acts that are capable of jeopardizing the future of the country".

Hajiya Aisha urged the students to focus their energies on their studies to enable them achieve their desired goals in life.

In his speech, the patron of the association and a lecturer with the department of textile technology, Kaduna Polytechnic, Alhaji Isa Mohammed Elayo, appealed to the students to pay more attention to their studies, explaining that "you should remember you are here purely for the purpose of acquiring knowledge to improve your future".

Also speaking, the chief launcher, Alhaji Abdullahi Keffi, commended the members of the association for coming together as one big family, urging the students to continue to maintain peace among themselves to enable them achieve successes in their studies.

Alhaji Abdullahi Keffi, a Kaduna-based businessman, also commended Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma for the achievements recorded within a short period in the Nasarawa State.

Earlier in his welcome address, the NASSA president, Kaduna Polytechnic chapter, Comrade Yakubu Ikwuya Adamu, commended the Nasarawa State Governor, Alhaji Aliyu Akwe Doma, for donating the sum of N500,000 to the association recently.

He said the association has purchased a photocopier, computer sets, generator and other necessary equipment for the establishment of a business centre within the school premises.

Comrade Yakubu said part of the money was also used for the production of exercise books aimed at supporting the students.

He commended Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma for his development programmes, calling on the people of the state to always pray for the governor in his efforts towards the development of the young state.
