The chairman of Kuje Area Council Hon. Danladi Zhin charged members of the newly inaugurated dipute resolution committees to work hard in finding lasting peace to issues relating to their areas of assignment.
The committees which were inaugurated last week included boundary adjustment, education, national poverty eradication programme, facility maintenance and management; and settlement of land dispute.
The council chairman charged members of the committees, especially those dealing with land, to work hard in finding lasting peace to issues relating to land allocation.
He said the committee handling land issues came into existence to avoid situations were farm land are allocated to other persons without consulting the farmer or thinking of his compensation.
The chairman revealed that the education committee was set up with the objective of assessing the problems facing teachers and education in general, within Kuje and making recommendations.
He said the committee members were appointed due to their outstanding track records and personal commitments to the development of the area council, adding that all of them reside in Kuje with their families.
"Do not compromise loyalty with any other things, and as far as my administration is concerned, it is only through unalloyed loyalty that positive results can be achieved," the chairman stressed.
He asked all the committee members to work as a team, saying that team work produce the best result.
