The Managing Director of Nasarawa State Urban Development Board (NUDB), Alhaji Ja’afaru Ango, hhas said the immediate task of the board was to evacuate refuse in Lafia metropolis

Alhaji Ango stated this when he appeared before the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, which cleared him for appointment as chief executive of the board.

Alhaji Ango said the board would remove all illegal structures, adding that the board would also work with consultants engaged by the state government to implement the master plan for the state capital and other local government areas.

On the issue of displaced persons, the managing director explained that those affected have to pay for their disobedience.

Earlier, the members of the state House of Assembly had described Alhaji Ango as a well-bred and managed individual who distinguished himself both within and outside the state. He was unanimously confirmed as the managing director of NUDB.

Before his elevation, he was the managing director of Greater Karu Area Planning and Development Authority (KAPDA).
