The Nasarawa State chapter of Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has elected new executive council members to pilot its affairs for the next four years.

In a keenly conteste4d election, which was described as free and fair by the electoral officer from the national headquarters, saw Comrade Danjuma Joseph emerging as the chairman

Other members of the EXCO include Okey Ngerem, vice chairman, Smart Conrod, Secretary, Charity Dandy, Assistant Secretary, Blessing Audu, Abdullahi Amwe, Theresa Nnedi, Reverend Emma Chukwum and Wilson Kingsley as treasurer, financial secretary, public relations officer, director of guild services and chide whip, respectively.

Speaking at the St. Williams Cathedral, Lafia, venue of the election, Comrade Dadi Nwomu of the AGN National Headquarters described the election as one of the most peaceful in the history of AGN elections across the nation.

In his post election speech, the new chairman, Comrade Danjuma Joseph promised to operate on open door policy to enable the guild achieve its set targets of making Nasarawa State one of the shooting centres in the country.

Comrade Danjuma Joseph als pledged hgis commitment to ensuring that ANG was taken to greater heights in Nasarawa State, adding that artiste free, peaceful co-existence and unity of the members would be the major priority of the new EXCO.
