Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma of Nasarawa State has approved new appointments into some state owned boards and parastatals.

A release made available to Nigerian Newsday listed the parastatals to include the newly established Nasarawa State Solid Minerals Development Company Limited, Nasarawa State Transport Service Limited and Nasarawa State Produce and Marketing Company.

According to the release, Dr. Benson Shedrack Jatau is now the General Manager of Nasarawa State Solid Minerals Development Company Limited, Alhaji Muslim Jibrin Ahmed and Engineer Tasiu Umar Abdullahi were appointed to serve as assistant general managers, exploration and engineering services respectively.

According to the release, Governor Doma has also approved the appointment of Alhaji Abubakar Adamu Sabo, as the General Manager of Nasarawa State Transport Service and Alhaji Hudu Iliyasu, as the General Manager Nasarawa State Produce and Marketing Company.

The appointments, Nigerian Newsday has gathered, was in furtherance to the determination of the Governor Doma-led administration to reposition and strengthen government parastatals to enable them meet the desired objectives.

It would be recalled that the governor, penultimate week, approved the dissolution of membership of boards, commissions and parastatals in the state.
